NHL Trade Rumors: St. Louis Blues to Pass on Ryan Kesler

Ryan Kesler‘s name has been one of the hottest names on the  trade block since the NHL Trade Deadline. Teams like the Anaheim Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, and St. Louis Blues have all had interest in the Vancouver Canucks’ forward.

Andy Strickland of Fox Sports Midwest and Big 550 KTRS doesn’t think that Canucks forward Ryan Kesler will end up in St. Louis.

I would not expect Canucks Ryan Kesler, who has full no-move, to land in St. Louis

Ryan Kesler’s full No Trade Clause makes it difficult to get a trade through, so that may have something to do with it.

Other options available for the St. Louis Blues and their center needs are Jason Spezza of the Ottawa Senators, Paul Stastny of the Colorado Avalanche, and even Eric Staal of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Ryan Kesler’s name is still at the top of the list for teams like the Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks, two teams that have been desperately looking for a top-six centerman.

Ryan Kesler is three seasons removed from a 41 goal,  32 assist campaign back in the 2010-2011 season. The year before, Ryan Kesler had 50 assists and 25 goals for the Vancouver Canucks.

In the 2013-2014 season, Ryan Kesler tallied 43 points in 77 games for a disaster of a Vancouver Canucks team. He had 25 goals and 18 assists.

The 29-year-old centerman will still be a hot commodity this offseason with several Stanley Cup contending teams still very interested.
