Jiri Tlusty’s Tweet

Tlusty tweeted a somewhat odd message yesterday from his Twitter account yesterday:

With the season and exit interviews ended, most players will be heading home now, so there’s obviously nothing weird about that, but the second part is surprising in that most players would not say something like that.

The winger is a restricted free agent, which means he cannot sign with any other team and should figure to be back next season, but as we all know some crazy things may happen in Raleigh this summer.

I think this tweet just shows how unsure everything is right now in the Hurricanes’ organization. I’m sure the team was honest with Tlusty in his interview and stated that it didn’t know what the makeup would be next season.

Tlusty will not compete at the World Championship due to an injured shoulder, so he will have the summer to negotiate a contract.

But don’t look too much into this. I think we all know there’s not much stability right now in Raleigh and this doesn’t mean Tlusty won’t be back by any means.
