Hurricanes Outlook

For a team that has played itself out of the playoffs, it has actually looked like a playoff team lately. However, continuing that against a tough Bruins team will not be easy.

Jordan Staal has been playing some of his best hockey as a Hurricane lately. The additions of Alexander Semin and Jiri Tlusty on his line has helped the center show some of his offensive promise.

Eric Staal, Jeff Skinner and Elias Lindholm have also played well together.

There’s a good chance Justin Faulk will make his return to the lineup after missing five games with an upper-body injury.

Cam Ward is probable to be in net after earning wins in his last two starts.

Bruins Outlook

The Bruins play a tough game, as mentioned earlier, which usually leads to a good matchup between the Hurricanes’ speedy forwards and the Bruins’ rough-and-tumble forwards and defensemen.

And the team is coming in on an impressive run with seven straight wins. The team has not lost since March 1, winning games over the Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens in the process.

David Krejci leads the team with 56 points, while Jarome Iginla has 51.

Tuukka Rask is considered one of the best netminders in the NHL and will provide competition in any game he is in.

A recap will be posted after the game.
