Carolina Hurricanes Injury Update March 14: Justin Faulk Could Play Against The Boston Bruins

The Carolina Hurricanes had a noon practice in Raleigh on Friday before they headed out to Massachusetts for their afternoon game against the Boston Bruins. We got some injury updates from the Carolina Hurricanes and Kirk Muller afterwards.

The big news from the day was that Justin Faulk could play tomorrow afternoon against the Boston Bruins. The 21-year-old Olympian has missed five games with an upper-body injury he suffered on March 2 against the Anaheim Ducks.

It was reported yesterday that Carolina Hurricanes defenseman John-Michael Liles would be out indefinitely with a concussion that he suffered against the New York Rangers on March 7.

Andrej Sekera and Brett Bellemore both did not practice with the team, but Carolina Hurricanes head coach Kirk Muller said that they had a maintenance day on Friday.

It will be good to get Justin Faulk and Andrej Sekera back together as the Carolina Hurricanes top defensive pairing. The Carolina Hurricanes will need them against the Boston Bruins.

With the season winding down, the Carolina Hurricanes have a slim chance of making the playoffs. They need as many healthy bodies as they can get.

The Carolina Hurricanes have finally found a little bit of success lately, and getting Justin Faulk back into the lineup will only help.
