After their best game since the Olympic break, the Carolina Hurricanes (28-28-9) will take on the Buffalo Sabres (19-38-8) tonight at 7 p.m. in a rematch of the Canes first game after the two-week break. The game will be televised on Fox Sports: Carolinas and broadcasted on the radio at 99.9 FM The Fan.

In the last meeting, the Canes couldn’t find a way to beat goalie Ryan Miller. The good news is that Miller is no longer on the team after being traded to the St. Louis Blues, but that doesn’t mean the Hurricanes can think scoring will come much easier.
However, the offense, and the entire team, had a strong game against the New York Rangers on Tuesday and if the players compete like they did then, wins won’t be difficult.
The Hurricanes announced yesterday that John-Michael Liles has a concussion and is out indefinitely, while Justin Faulk could make his return to the lineup tonight after practicing for the first time yesterday.
It is likely Cam Ward starts the game after earning the win over the Rangers.
The Sabres won their next two games after defeating the Hurricanes on Feb. 25, but in five games after that, the team has one win as the rough season in Buffalo continues.
However goalie Jhonas Enroth has shown the ability to steal games and the Hurricanes cannot take the Swedish netminder lightly in this one.
A recap will be posted after the game.
