Charlotte Checkers Preview
With one day off in between games, the Checkers will be back in action tonight as they take on the Norfolk Admirals at 7 p.m. The last time the two teams met the Checkers won 5-4 in a shootout.
Charlotte also defeated the Abbottsford Heat in their last game, after suffering some heavy losses to the team. Mike Murphy played a strong game and hopefully for the team, confidence will carry over into this one.
Wins are becoming more and more important with each passing game as the playoff race in the West has slowly slipped out of the Checkers’ grasp. After reaching as high as 10th and and three points out, the team now sits in 13th and eight points behind eighth place.
