Charlotte Checkers Preview

On a three-game losing streak, the Checkers will have another chance against an opponent that they’ve had plenty of success against in the Oklahoma City Barons again this afternoon at 1:30 ET.

The two teams played on Friday and the Barons stormed to an 8-5 win, ending a six-game win streak Charlotte had over the team. But the Checkers were still able to score five goals, which bodes well for them, since they usually have better defensive efforts.

Goaltending has been a problem lately for the team as goalie switches have been made in two of the last three games. Having a reliable netminder would go a long way in helping the team earn victories over this important stretch.
