Charlotte Checkers Recap

After six wins against the Oklahoma City Barons, the streak had to come to an end some time and unfortunately for the Checkers, it ended in a an awful way as the team surrendered eight goals in an 8-5 loss.

The Checkers actually had a 3-1 lead at one point in the second period after goals from Aaron Palushaj, Brett Sutter and Brody Sutter, but after giving up six straight the game was out of reach.

Michal Jordan and Mark Flood scored two goals in the third period before the game ended to get the Checkers within two, but Ben Eager scored for the Barons to give the Barons the last goal of the game.

John Muse made 32 saves, while Mike Murphy allowed one goal on six shots.
