Charlotte Checkers Preview

After losing two games to the Abbottsford Heat, the Checkers will see a team they have had huge success over this season in the Oklahoma City Barons. The team has a six-game win streak over the Barons, who knocked them out of the AHL playoffs last season, and the Checkers could use some help in the standings.

Charlotte is still in 10th in the Western Conference, but the eighth spot is starting to slip from its grasps as five points sit between the Checkers and the Rockford Ice Hogs. However, the Checkers do have four games in hand on the Ice Hogs.

One important thing for the Checkers to do tonight is not take the game for granted. They have plenty of wins over the Barons and while that may seem like a win is perpetual, that’s not always the case.
