Charlotte Checkers Preview

It doesn’t look like Cam Ward will have to wait long to get a game in with the Checkers as the goalie joined the team in Lake Erie for tonight’s game against the Lake Erie Monsters at 7:30 ET.

Besides Ward, the Checkers will have Ryan Murphy, who was sent down earlier this week and Aaron Palushaj, who returned after a quick game with the Hurricanes.

If Ward does play, the Checkers should be in an excellent spot to record a win, but things aren’t always that easy. Having a defenseman that belongs in the NHL will help and a scorer at a torrid pace won’t hurt either.

Every game is important to the Checkers right now and this game will be no different.
