Carolina Hurricanes Trade Rumors: "Brett Bellemore Is Absolutely Not On The Trade Block"

Jim Rutherford, General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, has shot down any chance of Brett Bellemore being on the trade block, according to ABC’s sportscaster Mark Armstrong after interviewing the Carolina Hurricanes long time General Manager.

He tweeted this out first…

“Just wrapped up 1 on 1 with Jim Rutherford on the state of the Canes. MANY pointed comments. Will have the story at 6 on @ABC11_WTVD” – Mark Armstrong (@ArmstrongABC11)

Later, he released some information from the interview…

“One tidbit worth mentioning — said Brett Bellemore is absolutely not on the trading block.” – Mark Armstrong (@ArmstrongABC11)

And to finish it off, he provided some clarification…

“small clarification – I didnt say he wasnt on the list, I said JR said he’s not available” – Mark Armstrong (@ArmstrongABC11)

The full interview will be on ABC tonight at six, so all the information will be released then on the state of the Carolina Hurricanes from Jim Rutherford.

The Brett Bellemore trade rumors did not make sense to many people, me included, so it is good to hear that Jim Rutherford has shut down those rumors, but it still does not mean that Brett Bellemore will not be traded.

Almost every player on the Carolina Hurricanes could be traded, Brett Bellemore included. Jim Rutherford sent league wide emails telling NHL general mangers that many players on the Carolina Hurricanes are on the trade market.
