Charlotte Checkers Preview

The Checkers will travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Barons in a rematch of the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs. The Barons won the series 3-2.

The two teams met to start the season and the Checkers won both games. Since then both teams have struggled with the Barons in 12th place and the Checkers in 13th in the Western Conference.

With four days off, the Checkers have had a lengthy rest, which has not been the case for the team’s schedule lately. Hopefully for the team, it gave them a chance to adjust to life without Zach Boychuk and Brett Sutter, who are with the Hurricanes right now.

The Checkers defeated the Iowa Stars in their last game, who are sitting in 11th in the Western Conference. Earning another win against a rival would really help the team again.
