Hurricanes Outlook: The Canes had no break last night, traveling from Raleigh to Columbus to get ready for today’s game. Despite not playing Tuesday, the team has moved around a lot in the past week from Raleigh to Buffalo back to Raleigh to Columbus. That type of travel with put a toll on any team, but the Hurricanes looked great last night.

If the team plays anything like it did last night, it should have no problem beating any team in the league. But we all know that’s difficult to do. If the Canes can keep the tempo high and work hard, wins should continue to come.

Jiri Tlusty and Riley Nash are nearing a return. Tonight could be the one depending on how they feel later in the day.

Anton Khudobin had another strong night, but again it’s a back-to-back, so Justin Peters may get the call in net.

Blue Jackets Outlook: The last time the Canes saw the Blue Jackets, the team was riddled with injuries, but the team has slowly begun to recover with Nathan Horton, Sergei Bobrovsky and Matt Calvert all returning from lengthy injuries.

In the last 10, the Blue Jackets have a 5-5-0 record and still sit in sixth in the Metropolitan Division.

Columbus is coming in with some rest. The team hasn’t played since Monday, when it defeated the New York Rangers, 4-3.

In three games back, Horton has two points and the team has won two of those games. Ryan Johansen has 32 points in 42 games to lead the team.

A recap will be posted after the game.
