Charlotte Checkers Preview

The Checkers will begin a two-game series against the Texas Stars tonight at 7 ET. The Checkers are coming off a 3-2 win over the Ice Hogs as Anton Khudobin made 41 saves.

But Charlotte will be without Khudobin as the Hurricanes have recalled him, but John Muse has been a reliable option in net, so the loss shouldn’t be too big of a problem for the team.

Aaron Palushaj has stepped up the last few games with six points in his last three and it’s coming at the right time as the team is trying to replace the absence of Zach Boychuk, who is with the Hurricanes.

Greg Nemisz, who was acquired in the Kevin Westgarth trade should also make his Checker debut tonight.
