Charlotte Checkers Recap

If Anton Khudobin wasn’t ready for the NHL, he is now. After making 36 saves on Saturday night, he made 41 tonight in the Checkers’ 3-2 win over the Rockford Ice Hogs.

The Ice Hogs got on the board first, but Nicolas Blanchard scored before the end of the first period to tie the game. Blanchard now has a goal and two assists in the last two games.

Chris Terry scored in the second period before the game was tied again in the third period, but Austin Levi scored his first in the AHL to win the game for the Checkers.

Charlotte plays next on Thursday to start a two-game series against the Texas Stars. The Checkers now sit in 11th in the Western Conference.
