Charlotte Checkers Recap
The Checkers got into a barn-burner, but were able to pull out a fourth win in a row last night against the Norfolk Admirals.
Charlotte scored the first three goals of the game, before the Admirals scored four straight to earn the team’s only lead of the game. Zach Boychuk scored his second of the game to tie it with eight minutes left before Matt Marquardt scored the game-winner for the Checkers 33 seconds later.
Chris Terry and Brody Sutter had two assists, Nicolas Blanchard a goal and an assist, while Marquardt added an assist to his game-winning goal. John Muse earned his fourth win in a row making 28 saves.
Again the Checkers proved their November was a fluke. It may not have been the prettiest game, but they were able to pull out a win and earn a valuable two points in the standings.
