Charlotte Checkers Preview

The Checkers will look to get continue their success against the San Antonio Rampage tonight at 7 ET in a rematch of Tuesday night’s game. The Rampage got the first goal of the game on Tuesday, but the Checkers were able to score twice to earn a win.

Chris Terry and Justin Shugg both scored, while Aaron Palushaj recorded two assists. As has been the case for Charlotte lately, a few of their star players (Terry and Palushaj) led the team to victory, but at least they got some contribution from Shugg, a less-skilled player.

John Muse played last game, so this one may go to Mike Murphy, but Muse has played strong over his stint with the Checkers.

The Checkers desperately need points in the Western Conference. They trail the Rampage by three points, but have a game in hand. Earning two wins against the team would be huge.
