Charlotte Checkers Recap

The Checkers fell behind by a goal in the second period, but it didn’t matter as the team scored two goals in the final 25 minutes to win its game over the San Antonio Rampage.

The Rampage’s Eric Selleck got the scoring started, but less than a minute later, Chris Terry scored his ninth of the season to tie it.

Justin Shugg scored the game-winner on the power-play with less than seven minutes left in the game. It was Shugg’s sixth of the season.

Aaron Palushaj recorded two assists and Michal Jordan had one in his first game back since injury. Beau Schmitz also had an assist. John Muse recorded 26 saves on 27 shots for his second win since coming back from his injury.

The Checkers and Rampage will meet again this Thursday for a rematch of tonight’s game.
