Charlotte Checkers Preview

The Checkers will face a familiar foe tonight in the Rockford Ice Hogs at 7 ET. The two teams have met four times already this season with the Checkers owning a slight 2-1-1 advantage in the record.

The Checkers have been playing much better hockey since their disastrous November, earning a win to close out the month and losing only 2-1 in their last game.

As mentioned earlier, Michal Jordan could make a return, which would be huge for the team. Without the Czech, Charlotte has a young defensive corps and Jordan could really help in that regard.

Despite the Checkers having a better record against the Ice Hogs, Rockford is higher in the standings, sitting sixth in the Western Conference, the Checkers are in 13th.

The two teams will also play Saturday.
