After a rough start to the season, the Devils have turned their season around, winning six of their last ten and moving into fourth in the Metropolitan Division tied with the Canes.
Some of the Devils forwards, most notably Jaromir Jagr, have begun to play better and have played a large part in the Devils current surge. Cory Schneider has also played well and is earning some Team USA talk.
But the Devils have lost their last two, while the Hurricanes are coming in on a big win over the Senators. The Canes will have to use that momentum to keep the Devils out of the game.
Last game, Tuomo Ruutu and Eric Staal impressed on offense with both playing arguably their best games of the season. Kirk Muller should keep the pair together, so we’ll see if that level of play carries over.
Cam Ward has also played strong in net for the past two games and should get the call in net once again.
A recap will be posted after the game.
