Charlotte Checkers Preview

The Checkers are looking for their first win in the month of November and they’ll get that chance again tonight against the Toronto Marlies at 7 p.m. ET in Toronto. The two teams met over the weekend with the Marlies skating away with a 4-1 win.

Zach Boychuk was the only Checker to score, while John Muse made 24 saves on 27 shots. A similar theme during the Checkers’ losing streak has been blow-out games with plenty of goals against and few goals for.

In the six games, the Checkers have been outscored 26-10. Goaltending has been apart of the problem, but the offense has to step up. Charlotte took a big hit when Chris Terry was recalled by the Canes, but it’s time for Boychuk, Victor Rask and Elias Lindholm to start producing or things will not get any better for the Checkers.
