Third Star- Drayson Bowman

Drayson Bowman had a heck of a week.

Bowman put up two points (1 goal, 1 assist) in the past five games. This isn’t ground breaking, but it is a huge step in the right direction for Drayson Bowman. He has really started to find himself as a player. It is no coincidence that he started playing well when he was put with Manny Malhotra.

Bowman really played well over the five-game stretch, especially on Friday night against the Anaheim Ducks, where he scored a goal and got six of the Carolina Hurricanes’ 23 shots on goal. He was also a plus two over the five games.

If Bowman can continue this play, he could move his way up the line up. Hopefully he continues his good play as the Carolina Hurricanes play some very good opponents in the upcoming games.

Glad to see Peters getting some credit paid to him. I felt a lot of fans unjustly blamed him for the 5 game losing streak (when I’d really say he only played poorly in the Rangers game, and it’s not like the rest of the team played WELL that game).

I’ll be happier than anyone when Ward and Khudobin are back to being healthy, but Peters deserves a TON of credit for really stepping up and being a quality NHL goalie in their absence.

Agreed. He really played his heart out of the past 5 games. He has played with a lot of confidence, and he is making the big saves for the Canes. Hopefully he can keep it up!
