Charlotte Checkers Preview

The Checkers return to the road on Wednesday night taking on the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 p.m. ET. Over the weekend the Checkers went 2-1, including a 5-0 win over the Griffins.

There were five different scorers in the game and the Checkers have gotten most of their scoring from veterans like Chris Terry and Mark Flood. The top players are scoring so hopefully for the team they can keep that type of production going farther into the season. It would be nice if Victor Rask could score some more, but he is putting up healthy numbers so far.

Rick DiPietro could make his first appearance for the Checkers. If he doesn’t reigning AHL Player of the Week John Muse will be in net. With three games in four days, it’s likely DiPietro gets in at least one this week.
