Charlotte Checkers Recap

John Muse earned his second shutout of the weekend as the Checkers beat the Chicago Wolves, 5-0. Terry, Blanchard, Shugg, Palushaj and Sutter all scored for the Checkers. Muse was signed last week and has made a huge impact including making 27 saves yesterday.

The Checkers finished the weekend 2-1 and improved their overall record to 4-2-1. They currently sit at fifth place in the Western conference. The Checkers next play Wednesday against the Grand Rapids Griffins, who they beat on Friday.

Metropolitan Division Recap

  • Penguins still in first place with 14 points.
  • The Islanders and Hurricanes are tied for second with 11.
  • Blue Jackets and Capitals both have 10 and are tied for fourth.
  • The Devils have sole possession of sixth, while Flyers and Rangers are tied for seventh with 6 points.
