Update - Skinner, Bellemore Out. Lindholm, Gleason In

Kirk Muller confirms that Elias Lindholm and Tim Gleason will return to the lineup from injury tonight against the Colorado Avalanche. On the other side of that, Jeff Skinner and Brett Bellemore are both injured and our ruled out for the Carolina Hurricanes road game in Colorado tonight.

Tim Gleason missed each of the first ten games of the season due to a concussion and ear injury he received during a fight against Montreal Canadiens defenseman  Jarred Tinordi in a preseason game in September.

Elias Lindholm was nursing a shoulder injury that he suffered against the Los Angeles Kings on October 11. Lindholm has been close to returning for a couple of games now, so it is nice to get him back.

Mike Komisarek will also dress for the Hurricanes tonight, so Jay Harrison will be a healthy scratch. Mike Komisarek played very well against the New York Islanders, so it’s no surprise he is back in the lineup two games later.

Jeff Skinner is listed as day-to-day with an upper body injury. It has been made it clear that it’s not a concussion. It is a hand/finger injury that will keep Skinner out short term. He could be back Monday as the Carolina Hurricanes return home to play the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Brett Bellemore is out with a lower-body injury. He took a rough fall last night against the Minnesota Wild, where his leg bent awkwardly under him, so it is likely that. He did play for the entirety of the game in Minnesota. The severity of the injury has not been released, but it doesn’t appear to be anything to worry too much about.

Good news is that both Jeff Skinner and Patrick Dwyer skated this morning in Colorado. So it appears both of them will return to the lineup very soon. Jay Harrison also skated this morning, but he will be a healthy scratch tonight.
