Tim Gleason, Elias Lindholm Ruled Out Against Minnesota

It was believed earlier in the week that Tim Gleason and Elias Lindholm would both be able to go in Minnesota tonight, but Kirk Muller shut that down earlier today.

Kirk Muller confirms that both Tim Gleason and Elias Lindholm will not play Thursday night in Minnesota, but he did not rule them out for Friday night’s game in Colorado.

Tim Gleason will join Mike Komisarek on the list of defenseman scratched tonight. Brett Bellemore will be back in the lineup after not playing in New York. Bellemore will be paired with Ron Hainsey at the start of tonight’s game.

Tim Gleason, who has yet to play a game this season, will bring grit, leadership and shut down defense to the team when he returns.

Elias Lindholm is also out, so that means Brett Sutter and Kevin Westgarth will play in Minnesota. He is also a possibility for tomorrow night’s game.

Elias Lindholm will be a welcome edition to the lineup when he returns. He’ll bring a good two-way game and play making ability to the bottom six, and he will see powerplay time.

Patrick Dwyer and Anton Khudobin both remain on IR. Patrick Dwyer may come back sooner than Anton Khudobin, but they are both week-to-week as of now.

The Canes will look to come off the break with energy tonight in Minnesota. Enjoy the game and check back here afterwards for a recap of the game.
