Practice Update

  • Cam Ward missed practice, but was just a day off according to Kirk Muller.
  • Elias Lindholm participated in practice, but in a no-contact jersey.
  • The Hurricanes made some changes in the offensive lineup yesterday at practice. These are the lines used in practice:
Ruutu – E. Staal – Semin
Tlusty – J. Staal – Gerbe
Skinner – Nash – Dwyer
Bowman – Sutter – Dvorak/Westgarth

My Opinion: These lines look OK to me, but I would prefer that Tlusty sticks with the top line. Ruutu should help to open some more space for Semin and Eric Staal.

However, Tlusty will help the offense on the second line and is fine defensively. Hopefully for the Canes, Dwyer will help Skinner keep up his offensive production on the third line.
