Elias Lindholm Day-To-Day

The Carolina Hurricanes released an update on Elias Lindholm‘s injury today. The Swede will miss the game tomorrow against the Phoenix Coyotes and is listed as day-to-day.

Lindholm did not participate in practice today.

The Canes did not give an official release on what Lindholm injured, but it’s likely to be the shoulder he was having problems with over the summer. He had to leave the game twice last night after hits that injured the shoulder. After the first, Lindholm returned to the game.

This isn’t terrible news for the Hurricanes. The injury could be much worse and day-to-day is a lot better than out indefinitely. Lindholm will be missed against the Coyotes, but missing one game is better than risking a worse injury.

Justin Faulk also missed practice, but was announced as a maintenance day and is expected to play tomorrow. Yesterday he left in the first period, but came back to play the rest of the game.
