It looks like both teams are ready for the regular season as the two lineups are almost a regular season group.

For the Hurricanes, Jeff Skinner, Tim Gleason, Alexander Semin and Elias Lindholm will not play as they continue to deal with injuries. Former Cane Jamie McBain will not suit up for the Sabres and is there only key player missing.

This game is important for Zac Dalpe and all of the fourth line. It could be make or break for them on making the team.

Unfortunately for Matt Corrente and Jeremy Welsh they were healthy scratched for the game.

After last night’s strong performance, Cam Ward will be back in net. It would be nice if he could build on the game before regular season starts.

If the Canes do win this could be a huge confidence booster. The preseason didn’t start out strong for the team, but improvements have already been made and winning against a near-NHL lineup would continue to build confidence.

A recap will be included in tomorrow’s Hurricane Report. Future regular season recaps will be posted after games.
