Training Camp News

Note: Information is taken from Hurricanes beat reporters such as Chip Alexander and Michael Smith, however opinions are my own.

  • The training camp roster is down to 28 players after six were sent through waivers on Sunday
  • Semin, Ruutu and Gleason missed practice. Coach Kirk Muller said the injuries were not serious but the players could be kept out of the next few days.
  • Lindholm skipped practice, but did some conditioning skating after the session.
  • Corrente took a shot off his nose but refused stitches so he could stay on the ice. Muller also said he could play wing if need be: Corrente seems to be impressing in camp with his toughness. We’ll see if it helps him earn a surprising spot on the roster.

Updated Line Combos:

Tlusty – E. Staal – Dvorak

Dwyer – J. Staal – Gerbe

Skinner – Nash – Bowman
