Hurricanes at Sabres Game Recap
It was another disappointing game for the Hurricanes, as the team dropped its second preseason game, 5-2, to the Buffalo Sabres.
Zach Boychuk and Chris Terry scored for the Canes, while Radek Dvorak had a strong game trying to make the roster by assisting on both goals.
For six minutes in the second period, the Hurricanes led 2-1, but Johan Larsson scored with less than two minutes left in the middle stanza to tie the game.
From there, the game ran away from the Hurricanes as Buffalo scored three goals in the third period to take the easy win.
But the worst news is that this is the second game the Canes had a lead, just to squander it later. It would be nice if the team could build on the lead and win the game.
On the other hand, this is only preseason. Don’t worry too much over the score, it’s not ideal, but it’s not regular season also.
Anton Khudobin played the whole game, making 24 saves on 29 shots.
