Training Camp Update

Note: Information is taken from Hurricanes beat reporters such as Chip Alexander and Michael Smith, however opinions are my own.

  • Riley Nash suffered a cut in his armpit and will miss the next couple days of training camp: This is unfortunate for Nash, who is competing for the fourth-line center.
  • Jiri Tlusty ended up missing today also and will apparently miss the next couple days also according to Muller.
  • Zach Boychuk scored two goals to lead Team Eric to a 2-1 win in yesterday’s scrimmage. Jeff Skinner scored the lone goal for Team Jordan.
  • Sergey Tolchinsky is not playing today and will be sent back to juniors: While Tolchinsky has surprised, he’s not ready for the NHL and juniors is where he should be.
  • Zac Dalpe played with Jordan Staal and Tuomo Ruutu, while Radek Dvorak joined Elias Lindholm and Jeff Skinner.
  • Ron Hainsey made his first appearance playing in the scrimmage yesterday

Check every day for training camp updates in the daily Hurricanes reports!
