  • Corey Sznajder wonders if Tim Gleason can make a rebound this upcoming season (Shutdown Line)

My Opinion: There is no denying that Gleason had a rough 2012-13 season, whether you look at his advanced stats or from just watching him in a majority of games last season.

Playing with a defenseman that isn’t Jamie McBain could help Gleason turn things around this season. At 30-years-old, Gleason is still in his prime and a downfall is not all that likely.

But having a consistent d-pairing may help Gleason because the Canes will definitely need his top-notch shutdown play in the 2013-14 season.
