  • Andrew Luistro considers that Zac Dalpe is at his career crossroads (The Hockey Writers)

My Opinion: There’s no doubt Dalpe is at the crossroads of his career. He shouldn’t be in the AHL, but he hasn’t proven that he’s ready for the NHL yet. He’ll have a chance to make the team in training camp, but competition will be easy.

Right now Dalpe is looking similar to Zach Boychuk. Dalpe is a great player in the AHL, but hasn’t made a mark with the Canes.

Dalpe signed a one-year deal with the Hurricanes, if he wants another contract with the team, Dalpe will have to prove a lot this season.
