  • Keegan Lowe was ranked #8 on Cardiac Cane’s 10 best prospects. The story can be found here
  • The Caniac Carnival is set for September 15, which will include a team scrimmage that is free to the public (Hurricanes Website)
  • The Canes are also featuring six college ticket group plans for next season (Canes Website)
  • Riley Nash was ranked 7th in Corey Sznajder’s Top 25 Under 25 (Shutdown Line)
  • Mark Jones looks at fourth-line players that could make the team (Bleacher Report)

My Opinion: As we all know, there are plenty of options for the fourth line and Mark looks at every one. It’s definitely not going to be easy to pick who will be there, but if I had to choose, it would be Riley Nash centering Aaron Palsuhaj and Kevin Westgarth with Jared Staal being the extra man or first call-up.

Nash is the obvious answer at center, Westgarth is a veteran enforcer and Palushaj will bring some offense and defensive play on the last line. Staal was built for the fourth line and will get his chance to make his mark at times.
