My Opinion: I’ve always been for the idea of running three strong lines, which would mean that Lindholm would be on the third line with Jeff Skinner and another winger. I believe this would give the Canes excellent depth and open up some scoring on the lower lines.
I don’t see Lindholm taking a winger’s spot because it would cause Skinner to slot in at center on the third line, when he is better utilized on the wings.
Similar to Mark, I believe the Swede is a lock for the Canes opening-night roster. He’s too good for the AHL and after signing him to an ELC, it makes no sense to send him back to Sweden.
