Monday Hurricanes Report

Carolina Hurricanes News

My Opinion: Terry is an interesting player because of his current situation. He’s 24-years-old, an age where if you’re going to make it to the NHL, you’ve already shown what you can do, which hasn’t happened for Terry, but he’s also improved every season.

Terry could be a late-bloomer and will compete for a spot in training camp this September. He’ll fight with a number of other young players, but if he impresses he could be put in a scoring role.

If he’s sent back to Charlotte, he’ll be a scoring leader for the team and should be called up to the Canes pretty often.

I’m somewhat surprised that Corey ranked Terry so high. He’s not definite to make the NHL, but he is important to the Hurricanes’ organization after leading the Checkers in scoring last season.
