Saturday Hurricanes Report

Carolina Hurricanes News

  • Yesterday’s blog on the Canes now pursuing Ron Hainsey and Ryan Whitney can be found here
  • Matt Karash has details on the Hurricanes Development Camp including roster, schedule and information on online streams (HockeyBuzz)
  • A great look at the Hurricanes’ organization’s lineup at every league including AHL, ECHL, juniors and Europe (Shut Down Line)
  • A draft review for the Hurricanes, including the Sekera-McBain trade (Hockey’s Future)
  • Corey Sznajder gives his thoughts on the signings of Matt Corrente and Mark Flood (Shut Down Line)

My Opinion: I agree with what Corey says on both players. For the most part they’re AHL players, that may have a chance at the NHL. Right now I would say Flood has more of a chance, but things will begin to look clearer when training camp starts in September.
