Yesterday’s Playoff Game

  • It took five periods, but the Boston Bruins finally beat the Pittsburgh Penguins, 2-1, in overtime. Patrice Bergeron scored the game-winner on a chip pass from Brad Marchand, which was set up by Jaromir Jagr. David Krejci got the game started with a goal in the first period for the Bruins. Milan Lucic had the lone assist on the goal. It was Lucic’s 10th assist of the playoffs. Chris Kunitz scored the Pens’ second goal of the series in the second period with assists from Paul Martin and Pascal Dupuis. Tuukka Rask made 53 saves in the win, while Tomas Vokoun made 38. The Bruins lead the series 3-0.
