Yesterday’s Playoff Game

  • After a controversial no-goal call with about a minute left in a tied game, Brent Seabrook scored early in the first overtime to give the Chicago Blackhawks a 2-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings and move them into the Western Conference Finals. At the end of the third period it looked like Niklas Hjalmarsson had took the lead for the Hawks, but the goal was waved off because of matching roughing minors called in a scuffle between Kyle Quincy and Brandon Saad. Patrick Sharp scored the first goal of the game for the Blackhawks in the second period. Henrik Zetterberg scored early in the third to tie the game. Corey Crawford made 26 saves in the win, while Jimmy Howard made 33.
