Yesterday’s Playoff Game

  • The Pittsburgh Penguins eliminated the Ottawa Senators and moved on to the Eastern Conference Finals with a 6-2 win over the Sens in Game Five. James Neal led the Pittsburgh offense with three goals and an assist. Kris Letang had a goal and two assists and Evgeni Malkin added one goal and an assist. Brenden Morrow also scored for the Pens. Kyle Turris and Milan Michalek scored the two goals for the Senators. Former-Hurricanes Brandon Sutter and Craig Adams were held pointless. Jussi Jokinen returned for the final two games of the series and recorded an assist. No reason was given for Jokinen’s absence, but some speculated that it was an injury.
