Playoff Race:

  • The Detroit Red Wings beat the Los Angeles Kings, 3-1, last night to leap frog the Columbus Blue Jackets for eighth place.

Games To Watch Tonight:

  • Ottawa Senators vs. Washington Capitals, 7 ET – The Senators currently sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference and can clinch a spot with a win over the Capitals.
  • Nashville Predators vs. Detroit Red Wings, 7:30 ET – The Red Wings will look to win their second in a row and can clinch a spot with a win and a Blue Jackets loss.
  • Winnipeg Jets vs. Montreal Canadiens, 8 ET – The Jets will try to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win over the Canadiens, while the Canadiens try to take the Northeast Division.
  • Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Dallas Stars, 8:30 ET – This may be the biggest game tonight with both teams trying to keep playoff hopes alive. Columbus can retake eighth place with a win and a Detroit loss. If the Stars lose, they will be eliminated from playoff contention.
