*St. Louis Blues took a spot in the Western Conference with a 3-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche

*Minnesota Wild increased their chances of a playoff spot with a win over the Los Angeles Kings

*Dallas Stars chances were hurt with a 3-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks
