Tonight the Charlotte Checkers head to Houston to take on the Aeros in their first game since the holiday break. They are looking to create another win streak after beating the Peoria Rivermen 2-1 before the break.
The last time these two teams met up was in back-to-back games during the Checkers 4-game win streak which included two consecutive victories against the Aeros. Justin Peters earned himself a shutout victory against the Aeros in the last meeting on the 15th of December and is hoping to find another one tonight.
The Checkers have earned points in six of their last games going 5-0-1 and it is currently their longest point streak of the season.
Justin Peters is foreseeable in net for tonight’s game as he has appeared in 5 of the last 6 games for the Checkers. Meanwhile Matt Gragnani, who has been out with a lower-body injury the past two games, could likely make his return tonight.
Face-off is at 8:05 ET and can be heard on AHL Live.
