Friday Top 5: Jussi Jokinen Goals

Jussi Jokinen has been a staple of the Hurricanes for the past 3+ seasons and while his production this season was the lowest in that time with the Canes, he still was second on the team in scoring with 46 points (12G, 34A). The Juice will be entering the second year of a three year contract this season and quite possibly could end up playing with the newly acquired Jordan Staal and Jeff Skinner. Jokinen is known for his skill in the shootout and has an impressive 59.3% success rate since November 2009. He has scored 25 goals in 46 shootout attempts, including 8 game-winners. Many fans expect big things out of Jokinen this season both on the power play and during even strength. Hopefully he’ll be able to get back near the 30 goal mark like he did during the 2009-10 campaign.

Now, a look back at some of his best goals of the season:

First, a shootout beauty on 1/3/12 against the Islanders:

Another shootout goal on 1/17/12 against the Pens:

Two goals against the Caps on 1/20/12:

Finally, during the World Championships against the Czech Republic on 5/20/12:
