Memory Lane Monday: Memorable Bloopers

Bloopers are a part of life and there have been many memorable hockey funnies. I actually felt so bad pointing out these athlete’s mistakes, I felt compelled to share one of my own horrific moments.

The setting was in graduate school. I was in an Organizational Change course with a class of 90% males. The professor was lecturing on how people resist even good change. He gave example of a husband rebelling against his new slimmer, attention-getting wife after a drastic makeover. To which I say, “Yes! My husband still puts his meat in front of my face and expects me to eat it!” I was referring to the fact I was a vegetarian. The information prior to my statement would have been nice. I can still hear the jaws drop on the hard floor.

OK, I feel less guilty. Here you go, some humorous puck moments:

At the time Hurricanes’ Niclas Wallin scores on his own net.

Dion Phaneuf trips over a stick when he goes to fight Jarko Ruutu. That’s just classic.

Marian Gaborik tumbles, soars and crashes after falling over Dominik Hasek.

Rob Davison scores a world record nearly 200 foot goal against Vesa Toskala.

Happy Monday Caniacs! Is it Friday yet?
