We have spent the last few news wheel’in Wednesdays exploring the NHL. Today we dive into the American Hockey League, East Coast Hockey League, and the Southern Professional Hockey League headlines.

Justin Pogge, formally of the Charlotte Checkers, signed with the Coyotes. You can read a variety of articles from the Wall Street journal, TSN, and CapGeek. I wish the netminder the best of luck, but I won’t be shedding an tears. There are too many men in Murphy’s crease anyway.

In Fayetteville, the FireAntz of the SPHL re-signed leading scorer Chris Leveille.

After five season, the Trenton Devils suspended operations and Executive Director, Jim Leahy, offered no clear reason. This afternoon a Trenton Titans account posted, “We are back. The Titans are reborn. Press Conference at Sun National Bank Center at 1 p.m. tomorrow (Thurs).”

Washington Capitals ECHL affiliate,  South Carolina Stingrays, named new head coach.

Former Everblades player, Kyle Peto, signed with the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL.  The defenseman has a Kelly Cup championship on his resume.

The Buffalo Sabres‘ AHL affiliate, Rochester Americans, Ron Rolston was named coach.
