Feature Friday: Bryan Allen

The Florida Panthers former defenseman, Bryan Allen, joined the Canes crew in February and squeezed in 19 games before the 2010-11 regular season ended. He was originally drafted by Vancouver in 1998, first round and fourth pick overall.

#5 shoots left and checks in at 6’5” and 225 pounds. He hails from Kingston, ON and will turn 31 years old in August. I feel like I’m auctioning him off to a bunch of wealthy single ladies. Anyway…

With the Hurricanes, Allen earned five assists and went +4 in 19 contests.

Only time will tell on the big guy’s future with Carolina hockey. In the meantime, here is an interview with Allen from March 2011 regarding the trade to Raleigh.
