Although down one in the series with Boston, the Flyers enjoyed a first round victory over the Buffalo Sabres. A win Carolina Hurricane fans likely cherished as much as Philly fans.

1. Sum up the your 2010-11 season in one word. Champions – OR – Busts
2. What was your favorite moment from this season? Every game from the October 25 loss in Columbus up until mid to late February. The Flyers played so incredible, that it seemed they were unbeatable. That’s when they were still in the hunt for the Presidents Trophy.
3. Who is your favorite player and why? James vanRiemsdyk. All season long, he was an ok player that didn’t stand out. The playoffs rolled around, and he’s been one of our top guys. If he can keep this going, I think more will be asked of him next season. And he’s entering that age when players start peaking statistically.
4.Going into 2011-12, what do you feel will be your team’s strengths/weaknesses? Their biggest strength will be similar to this season: all around depth. Weakness on paper of course is always goaltending. It wouldn’t be Philly without question marks in net. Regardless, the team is only beatable when they don’t work hard, regardless of who’s in net. So in reality, their biggest weakness would be mental preparation and motivation in the regular season.
5. What player changes have happened/do you forecast for the upcoming year? All of the major pieces (Richards, Carter, Giroux, Briere, Pronger, Timonen) are signed for a few more years. A few fringe players, like Zherdev, hopefully Nodl, maybe Carcillo, Shelley might go unsigned if they are FA’s or might get shipped out. Unless the team falls apart in the playoffs and Laviolette is to blame, then he should be behind the bench next season.
