Wait For It, Wait For It...

Their faces are fading, the numbers seem foggy, and you forgot how to pronounce Tlusty. Have no fear my deprived Caniacs, the wait is almost over!

Perhaps my headline was premature (hate it when that happens), the City of Oaks must wait one more day to see their beloved Hurricanes take the ice. They take on the Thrashers who are desperate for a regulation win, as desperate as the Canes are to earn a point of their own in the playoff race.

Atlanta currently sits 11th with 65 points, six points behind 9th seed Carolina, and the Sabres lead the Canes by one.

Canes duke it out with the Sabres on Tuesday, March 15th in Buffalo, just one of many tough upcoming contests. Side note, the organization confirmed Thomas Vanek will not play tonight againt Pittsburgh as he came down with the flu.

It certainly isn’t smooth sailing as the regular-season wraps up with six remaining road trips and ten home games. Five back-to-backs are part of the Hurricanes final chapter as well.

So fans will suck up another day as players finish their well deserved reprieve.  Don’t worry Kiddie-Canes, tomorrow we will see their handsome faces and well padded asses!
